I looked and found that the screws appeared to be stripped and the technician just put broadcpm cover on without replacing t1000 screws. Not to detract from the subject, but this notebook massively overheats and hits 94 degrees C often. But after using it for a tx100, it failed again.

The device just does not appear in the Device Manager at all. This is what HP says is the latest.

The tech support I talked to in the beginning said that he can’t find tx included in any nVIDIA faulty chipset case, but said he would email “them” whoever that might be about this case.


HP tx Broadcom WLAN wireless not recognized on Win7 RTM clean install

After about 1 week I received the laptop back with a repair sheet saying the system board had been replaced. I’d love to know if this resolves it for you too. I would really appreciate any advice Thanks Hi Patricia, that’s disappointing. The solution I use gets the machine back into service and it stays in service.

HP tx1000 Wireless Assistant Issues

My sisters are getting annoyed not having wireless connection on this laptop. Oh, the wireless card was working for months after the SP1 update and for a couple of weeks after the last regular update without any problem.

I even had to re-install Lubuntu but nothing happened.
